Vessel of Root & Rise

This installation is a tribute to thirty years of Charles & Keith, a Singaporean story of roots and growth.

At its heart stands a vase, a form I have shaped throughout my career as a potter. It represents who I am,

a vessel formed by this island's soil. Rising from it are branches and leaves of the durian tree, symbols of our

shared heritage. The branches reach outward mirroring Charles & Keith's global journey while remaining

anchored to strong, humble roots.

"Root" honours where we began as Singaporeans. "Rise" celebrates how far we have come together.

In clay and form, this artwork holds both a quiet pride in our foundations, and a bold reach toward the

future we continue to build.
